Topfin fish aquarium review

I went to the pet store to buy 2 snails. They were out. Instead, I bought Blue Fish, my beta, a new tank. Below is my review.

The tank holds one gallon of water. It is just right for the single beta that is now living in there.

My past betas lived in bowls without filters. I just changed their water weekly. Having a small filter in this tank will make weekly water changing unnecessary. Another good point for this product.

Flutter-by

As I walked down my farm lane, I watched many yellow butterflies flutter-by.

I tried snapping a photo, but as soon as I zoomed in, they were gone. I finally caught these two.

Beauty is found in the littlest creatures.

Two down

A week ago I my right eye done.

Today I had cataract surgery on the left.

Again Rebecca was my chauffeur to and from St. Mary’s Hospital, Green Bay.

Now I have to rest.

Tomorrow I see Dr. Gould for a post-op checkup.

Things are moving along as planned.

Humming right along

I changed the sugar water in the hummingbird feeder and had a visitor right away.

I waited for it to return, but tired, and gave up.

Look in the mirror and you’ll see me on a ladder, holding my phone, snapping my own picture. By this time the little humming bird had flitted away.

It’s all about prayers

I was praying a lot in 1989. My dad was diagnosed with cancer and farming was the pits.

In that time, I wondered how many prayers we were allotted. This column recounts my thinking at that time.

Praying to win the lottery seems like a waste of time for a person praying and for God.

This weekend we commemorate those who have fallen in service to our country. Memorial Day weekend is a good time for prayers.
