Perfect for Halloween

I’m so happy I saved this story my dad told in 1990. It is not one in his handwritten collection. It is perfect to share today, Halloween Eve.

It was Dad’s last visit to our Wisconsin home. The following May Dad passed away.

I hope you enjoy this column and that it encourages you to save some of your family stories.

Until next time, that’s all there is from Sunnybook Farm.

Two cats return home

Mother Cat will no longer have babies. She was spayed through Happily Ever After.

Daddy cat will no longer make babies. He was also neutered at Happily Ever After.

Happily Ever After loaned me the live traps needed to catch these two.

The four kittens are in line to be ‘fixed’, too.

I’m so thankful I don’t have to worry about Mother Cat having more kittens. Hopefully, she will have a long happy life here.

Both cats were hungry and returned for food after being released. They seem to be happy to be home.

Cat brothers wrestling

This is the way my cats started their day. Sometimes Barn-E is involved, but today it was just Car-E and Spitz.

Happily, they did not involve my bare feet in their wrestling fun. That could have hurt.

Cat in a box

Spitz was curious this morning.

I thought his box adventure would be more exciting, even so, I got some of his investigations.

Rain gauge

The last few days have been dreary and rainy. The gauge shows over four inches of rain so far.

I will leave it up for the next day or two. I want to see if it will go over the top.

It will have to come down after that as the temperature will fall. I don’t want to have my gauge freezing and busting.

Until next time, that’s all there is from Sunnybook Farm.
