Fall in Wisconsin

Leaves are falling like crazy today. Looks like I have some work ahead when it dries again.

Autumn is beautiful.

I just wish it didn’t lead to slippery weather.

Until next time, that’s all there is from Sunnybook Farm.

Sunrise with Stella

Stella loves to explore. It doesn’t matter what time of the day it is.

She gets very excited if she sniffs anything different, like the tracks of raccoons or cats. I have to be careful that she doesn’t pull away from me. She’s very strong.

I’m happy we could share this time together.

A Rooster crowing

Went into my archives to get this video. This rooster no longer lives on my farm, but he was fun to watch when he did.

My favorite chicken was that little white and black hen that is in this video. She was a good mother.

Goodbye old furnace

The fifty-year-old furnace had to be taken out from the basement bit by bit. This was the heaviest bit.

I couldn’t use this machine. It had to go.

Even though I had to wait for my scheduled installation date, I did fine with two space heaters and sweaters. Now those heaters can be stashed away again. Of course, sweater weather is around the corner.

Hip hooray for my new furnace!

Furnace prep continues

Richard and Jake from Garrow Oil and Propane worked to set up a propane tank for my new furnace today.

The line from the tank to the house had to be buried. A short part was dug by hand, but most was dug by this very handy trencher.

I’m happy I didn’t have to dig that by hand. I did enjoy watching Richard and Jake work. Next is the furnace installation.

Until next time, that’s all there is from Sunnybook Farm.
