A minute with Susan

Work, work, work. No time to write, so just a short video.

Don’t be scared. This is how I look coming in from mowing.

Time for water and time to kick back.

Mosquitoes came out of the bushes! I’m back inside for a while.

Ten seconds of sandhill cranes

They fly through the sky, greeting the Wisconsin sunrise.

Sandhill cranes wake up the countryside.

I know some don’t appreciate their bugle calls, thinking them grating.

The sounds that greeted me today made me smile.

Catching a bit of their flight and calls brightened my day.

Saving Wisconsin wildlife shows how birds on the brink of extinction can come back and add to daily entertainment.

What Car-E wants

The kids gave me a birthday gift that I wasn’t supposed to open until my B-Day.

From the start, Car-E wanted the ribbon on top of the box, so I hid the gift away in the office.

After my new set of knives was unwrapped, Car-E found the ribbon again.

I’m not saving the ribbon to use it on another package. To keep Car-E safe. I threw it in the garbage.

Car-E continues to look for that fancy packaging ribbon, but he will never find it now.

A combination of events

I didn’t sleep well as a noisy thunderstorm kept me awake last night.

When I came down this morning, I carried an opened pack of toilet paper. Noise from the living room distracted me.

Listen to my vlog to hear what happened.

Multiple events had me question my sanity, but after searching the house, I did find the lost pack of toilet paper.

When things go missing, I usually ask my sainted mother for help. So many times we searched for her keys and/or purse. Mom was always losing something. Now from heaven, she helps me find things.

So that’s how I started my Saturday morning, searching. Good thing I eventually walked back to the living room. Thanks, Mom.

BTW: that radio never, ever turned on of its own accord before. It was so very odd hearing it playing WPR when I came down. “Bob, were you listening to the radio?”

Bye-bye tooth

I was very nervous driving to Bay Oral Surgery in Green Bay yesterday. A molar was coming out and I was going to be wide awake.

Doctor Ellis and his staff were exceptionally sweet. They kept saying I was doing a great job.

I’m not sure what I’ll do next. Maybe a bridge. But nothing can be done for three months. My mouth has a lot of healing to do.

I was so afraid, I thought about canceling my appointment. I mean, I had been living with the cracked tooth for a month or more already and had taught myself to chew on the left side.

But now it is over and I’m pleased to be rid of the pain.

More soft food today, but that’s okay. Ice cream fits the bill.
