A bed for Sunny

When I was at Fleet Farm last week, I found a large, cumfy bed for Sunny. The best part, it was on sale.

I brought it home without thought where it would go. It was large, so I just dropped on the kitchen floor. Immediately it became a bed for…

Car-E

Once Car-E came bounding onto the bed. He bounced like he was on an air mattress and flipped over. He took it all in stride and relaxed on his back.

Othello also took a turn on the pet bed. That black cat is ancient but he knows a good thing when he finds it too.

Thank goodness, Sunny isn’t interested in the bed.

Here chick, chick, chick

I had one slice of bread and broke it up for my hens.

They came running when I called them, both the old girls and the young ones.

Watch as they steal and run with little pieces of bread.

These two came begging for more, looking in the kitchen window.

Usually, it’s cats looking in the window, but not today–the other day I had one chicken looking in and one barn cat. Both wanted a treat. The chicken doesn’t care what they get, even a cat treat. The cat would turn its nose up at chicken feed though.

They are all fun to watch.

Car-E goes fishing

Blue Fish, my beta, has caught the eye of Car-E.

Good thing that the fish knows to go to the bottom of the bowl whenever the kitten comes to play.

It’s also a good thing that when Car-E puts his paw in the water he reacts, quickly pulling back.

I’m pretty sure Blue Fish is safe, but I will keep an eye on Car-E when he gets close.

Going fishing

Car-E the kitten is interested in the fish in the fish tank.

He came close when I had the hood back to feed them today so I let him have a good look.

I thought he might take a dive in. You know the old phrase. Curiosity killed the cat.

Well, Car-E was curious, but he only touched the water. It still was interesting watching him investigate the tank.

Watch out fish!

If Car-E had his way he’d be my the fish tank, swimming with my three fish. I can imagine that happening. A lot of splashing would have ensued with a very wet cat emerging.

(The fish are twenty-nine cent feeder fish. I don’t buy expensive fish anymore because they usually die.)

Five months ago, I started out with six feeder fish. I’m down to 3. Hopefully, they will live to see another day. Anyway, these can easily be replaced for a few pennies.

Car-E squeezed behind the tank. too, but I wasn’t fast enough to capture that image. I’ll try again when he returns to watch the fish again.

The kitten even tapped on the hood to see if there was a way inside the tank. Luckily, for all involved the top was secure.

Some house pets entertain others. Right now these fish are entertaining my kitten, Car-E and they all are entertaining me.
