Backyard spinners

Just a quick peek at the spinners in my backyard.

Warning: if they are spinning fast, don’t get too close.

Only on a calm day can I oil spinners and stop their squeaking.

The windchime has been known to annoy visitors. On those days, the clanker is wound around them so no chimes sound.

I’m so used to all the noises coming from my decorations, I don’t notice the sounds at all.

As it has gotten calm now, I think it’s time to squirt a little oil on the spinners.

First Music in the Park – 2021

Les James opened Seymour’s Music in the Park on June 16, 2021.

Les also celebrated 40 years of music with family and friends!

Also, Les announced his retirement. This was his last performance–tears were shed as he ended the evening.

Les James will be missed at Music in the Park.

Entertaining and healthy

I put a few ice cubes in the water bowl for my inside pets.

Car-E came and immediately investigated the ice cubes.

The ice cubes cool the water on a hot day and also entertain my cat.

Hot weather can be tough on animals as well as people.

Think about giving your pet a cool treat today.

Library doors open again

Curb-side pickup was available for months but starting June 1 the building opened.

Today was my first day volunteering. As in the past, I shelved books. Next Thursday morning I plan on being there, and the next Thursday, and…

Of course before I left today I checked out a book for my own use.

See you next Thursday morning at the library.
