A little fun with Car-E

Yesterday, Car-E spent the morning knocking stuff off the table.

All my pens and pencils ended up on the floor, as did the cap of an empty medicine bottle. The bottle soon followed.

This crazy cat kept looking for anything he could knock to the floor. If he didn’t play with it himself, he sent things down for Sunny–that way he can get the dog in trouble. Sunny never takes things off the table our counter.

I trust Sunny.

I do not trust Car-E.

+Creativity questions

A lot of the times, I went wild with crafts. After spending money on supplies I would lose interest.

I still admire what my friends accomplish and yearn to do as well. That feeling often gets me into trouble.

These days most of my creativity stays focused on writing.

I have been cutting fabric for a project but I haven’t sewn anything yet. Will have to wait to see how that all works out.

Thanks for the laugh

I’m sharing a card today that was sent to me by Patti.

It’s a Shoebox card and made me laugh.

Maybe you need a laugh today, too.

Thanks, Patti. It’s always great getting real mail, especially a funny card.

This really fits Car-E. He’s always looking for exercise.

Ballerinas in action

Since daughter Rebecca was a toddler, she danced, copying the ballerinas on the television. The Nutcracker was her favorite.

A YMCA class gave our daughter, age 8, the opportunity to learn ballet steps. This column recounts a mother’s joy watching her daughter’s first official attempts at dance.

I can close my eyes and see the girls again as they stepped across the floor. The fun stays with me all these years later.

Enjoy the retelling of class four.

Chickens having fun

I know I’m enjoying this beautiful, mild, and warm November week, so is my dog, Sunny and my chickens are, too.

After coyotes raided our yard and spirited away five hens, the leftovers haven’t ventured far from their coop. Today was different.

Though this isn’t far from their home coop, it is the farthest they have been away from the scantity of their roost.

I handed out grape treats. Only Bonnie comes to take food from my hand, but the others are thinking about getting closer to yummy bits held between my fingers.

I hope you can enjoy these last lovely days of fall, too,

Too soon we’ll be back to regular November weather.
