Squirrel!

This visiting squirrel surprised me. I rarely see them here.

Happily, it didn’t run away immediately and allowed me to take this video and a few photos.

Until next time, that’s all there is from Sunnybook Farm.

Listening to the rain falling

This first shower didn’t last long, but every raindrop was welcome.

Looking forward to more showers. The dry land soaked up the little that came down and is in need of much more.

I’m doing a happy dance as I watch the rain fall.

Watering more than flowers

Birds came to the water I ran for them today. There’s a birdbath by the house, but this puddle was just right for this feathered friend.

It is so dry here, I figured that after I watered my plants I would let some run into a puddle for the birds.

More than one bird liked this water today, but I only videoed this sparrow.

Looking for rain

The rumble of thunder woke Stella. My dog decided it was time to go inside the house.

Yesterday, there was a sprinkle here, but it didn’t even register in my rain gauge. An area 50 miles away had 2 inches of rain. We don’t need that much all at once, but a nice gentle soaker would be helpful in this dry area.
