Poppies

These flowers in my garden make me smile.

I wish they lasted longer. Though they will soon be a memory, I love them while they are here.

Early morning sounds

It’s amazing what you can hear out in the country if you listen closely.

The pheasant didn’t call out while I did this video, but I heard it three other times this morning. It is so special knowing pheasants are in the area.

A relaxing afternoon

I had worked earlier, but I found some time to sit and enjoy this beautiful afternoon.

My dog was enjoying the day, too. Stella was keeping a watch for bunnies and cats. When a cat did walk by, Stella leaped, but luckily she didn’t go far. I’m always afraid she might follow a critter onto the road. She’s still a puppy and learning about the world around her.

Anyway, we took the time to enjoy this lovely day.

Driving the cart to the backfield of the farm

Here’s a brief look down the lane of Sunnybook Farm.

When we started down the lane, Rebecca and I saw black animals walking around our destination. We had to get closer to see the turkeys strutting around. They disappeared into the woods as we got closer. No bears were seen.

Sunrise before the fog

I was lucky to capture this sunrise. Soon fog obscured the sky.

I thought about staying in bed, but now I’m happy I was able to catch this sunrise. And no, I did not go back to bed. When I’m up, I’m up.
