Missing connections

My internet is quirky as my landline is crackling and interfering with my DSL connection.

I do have a cell phone, but using it for everything is impossible. I can write only on my laptop. This teaches me to appreciate all my virtual connections.

On Thursday, my landline is on the docket to be fixed. Fingers crossed. For now, I’ll take my internet connection when I can get it. If all else fails, I’ll take my laptop to the library and use their WIFI.

So appreciate what you have and make sure you connect with me when you can.

Today I’m missing all my friends, especially those at a distance.

Until next time, that’s it from Sunnybook Farm.

Tomato season ending

Autumn has sprung with shorter days. The last of my tomato plants still have a few more green tomatoes but I picked the ripe ones today.

I haven’t pulled the plants yet as it has been warm here. Too soon the weather will change. Cold temps will end the growing season for good.

But for now, I’ll enjoy the small ripe fruit I have.

Art project today at Swanstone Gardens

Here’s a very short video of me working on my rain chain today.

Rebecca was working right next to me in the class led by David Calhoon.

Our next project will be the short, decorative rain chains, but that may have to wait until next spring.

Car-E splashed water

Sorry the video is a little cockeyed. I was standing by the water bowl and couldn’t get a good angle.

Car-E wasn’t finished. He went to the water bowl on the porch and splashed some water there, too.

The water bowl upstairs is in the shower. That way when Car-E gets the urge to splash the water out, it goes down the drain.

Oh that cat of mine.

A cuddle with Car-E

Early today, Car-E came and cuddled with me. Times like this will be nice in the winter when he can keep me warm.

When we finished with this calm time, Car-E reverted to his playful self.

He grabbed my hand as I walked across the room. I think he thought I was dangling a toy.

Even so, there are peaceful times with my cat.
