A little treat

I brought out some bread as a treat for my three hens.

Their pen isn’t much, but they seem to do well enough.

We’re all looking forward to spring when things green up and everyone can go outside again.

Cats at play

I never thought I’d see Car-E twitching his tail so Barn-E could play. Well, I did today.

Here’s their playful video.

These two brighten any winter day.

Fun with a 50-word story

Don’t have time to listen to a whole book? Hopefully, you’ll have time to listen to another of my 50-word stories.

I’m happy when a subject jumps out at me as this one did. Now I have to do some real thinking as it’s time for me to write another column for the Wisconsin State Farmer. Those run about 650 words.

Cat helpers

My cats think they are helping me. They are not.

When I go toward my sewing machine, they come out from their hiding places to help.

I do not appreciate this kind of help and have to lock them out of the room. This makes me sad because their antics make me laugh. When I send them away, I can’t see them. It is also the time when they get into trouble.

I wouldn’t trade my furry friends for anything, even when they are extra helpful.

Two directions, one morning

First to the east and sunrise.

The second video was taken to the west the same morning.

A foggy cloud hung over the land.

I thought the haze would quickly lift, but before leaving it got very thick.

For a while, I debated about driving to town.

Lucky for everyone, that thick fog soon drifted away and I could drive to Seymour and shelve books at the library.
