I love our noisy family Thanksgiving

We missed the family members that were under the weather and couldn’t join us. We especially missed my Bob, as we do every day, but continued to have fun together.

There was even enough food left over for packages to go home with everyone. I’ll have turkey dinner again tomorrow.

It’s always noisy when we get together, and I can’t get enough of it.

Hard to hear every conversation or talk to each person individually. Bob and I used to compare notes after such a gathering. We both were involved in groups and heard different information. Afterward, when we put it all together we had a good picture of the family’s goings-on.

Crazy dog with an odd toy

I had to find out what Stella had in the corner. Here’s the video of her playing.

A rock was what she was pushing around. It was one a grandchild gave me. I never imagined the dog would find it and play with it.

Puppies are interesting.

Warning! Don’t do what I did

If you have furry pets, this might have happened to you.

I knew a guy in his childhood who munched on dog treats. That’s not for me.

Take this as a warning to watch which treat goes to your pet and which goes into your mouth.

Stella’s still playing

It took her a while to figure out how to play, but she did it.

Life is different for Stella, the cats, and me. It will get back to normal after her post-operation time.

I know she will be happy when she can run again. Two weeks feels like a long time, but we’re a few days into that time already.

Right now life is what it is.

Stella and her toys

Stella has favorite toys. Her preferences change from day to day, hour to hour.

Some toys I set aside so they seem new when I bring them out again.

Stella loves her squeaky bones. The bones carry the smell of bacon. They only last so long because she squeaks them so much.

Today her attention is on this green ball, though it doesn’t go into her crate. It’s not special enough.

Stella always wants that soft white pull in her crate when she sleeps at night.

Right now, she’s at my feet as I write. It’s time for a little puppy nap.
