A winter project

I walked outside to get yesterday’s mail. It is 37 degrees and windy. The driveway was plowed but now very slippery. Next time I’ll have cleats on my boots.

So came back inside to work on my winter project. I’m cutting up Bob’s old clothes to eventually make a quilt.

I started this last winter so don’t expect a completed quilt soon. More cutting to do.

Cookie time

When the weather is wicked, I have to bake. Today it was chocolate chip cookies.

I like my cookies to spread out so I used Elton Brown’s recipe, but made cookies half the size he says so I get double the cookies.

Enjoy.

Barn-E has Gon’ Fishing

I put down a cat toy for Barn-E to distract him this morning.

He really got a kick out of flopping fish.

Car-E didn’t care so much.

Cat toy entertained me as much as the cat.

Fast kitten

Trying to catch Barn-E at play is a tough job.

He’s faster than a speeding bullet.

After catching him for seconds here, he was off to other adventures.

Remember your cash

Too many people passed my red kettle saying they didn’t have any cash. I’m here to remind you to tuck some change or bills in your pocket when you venture out. You wouldn’t want to miss an opportunity to donate to the Salvation Army.

Someone missed their scheduled time bell ringing so I stepped in for a short time.

Just a reminder to either ring or give, or do both. Everything helps.
