Barn-E gets snipped

It was time to take my little cat to the vet for neutering.

He slept next to me last night, not knowing what was ahead for him.

It was an icy drive on country roads taking him up to Pulaski Veterinary Clinic. I had to chip off ice from my car before leaving and drive carefully.

Made it there and back home again safe and sound.

Now waiting for the call from the vet to say Barn-E is safe and recovering.

Sandhill cranes

An early morning walk down the farm lane brought me close to these two.

I love the sound of sandhill cranes. They are so prehistoric.

The sun hadn’t touched them yet, but they were walking and talking at this early hour.

A special diet snack

Not much of a diet, but I appreciate even the small snacks I get.

I’m drinking a lot of clear liquids which are okay and very necessary.

At least, there’s an end to this diet … eventually. I am counting down the days. I know I’ll be on a special diet after my operation and then ease into a regular diet, but that’s okay. I can manage.

The liquid diet continues

I can do this. That’s my attitude. A liquid diet, with 2 little snacks, isn’t easy, but doable.

I’m trying not to think of regular food.

So far, so good.
