Cat in the box

I never know what to expect from these two cats. Getting in the same box together was a surprise.

Two together usually means wrestling, not snoozing.

This only lasted a few minutes before Barn-E retreated to another location, but maybe it will be the beginning of cuddly cat relations.

Furry friend helpers–NOT!

My work area has been invaded by two cats and one dog, who wants to play with the cats.

No computer work will get done this way. These three see that I have their help, even when I don’t need it.

Stella has fun in the snow

The snow may melt later this week. Stella plays in the white stuff as long as she has it.

She loves the snow. Stella doesn’t mid the coming mud, but I do.

Sprouts in my kitchen

I have two videos I made about sprouting seeds on YouTube. This is the second one I did.

It’s easy to sprout seeds. I love to eat alfalfa sprouts. You don’t need anything fancy. A canning jar works with a cheesecloth cover. Soak seeds overnight in room temperature water. Pour off the water. Each morning and evening, pour room temperature water into your container and then drain well. Depending on the seeds you are using, they will sprout in a day or two. After they grow a few more days, you can eat them. When they grow large enough, rinse, and then refrigerate them. Great for salads, tacos, and sandwiches. Find different seeds to sprout if you want other flavors. Radish sprouts are a little spicy.

Cardinal at the feeder

I’ve been trying to catch the cardinal at the feeder. Usually, he grabs a mouthful and then he’s gone. Today he hung around long enough for this video.

It is below zero so I stayed inside the house taking his picture. Good thing I filled up the feeder last night. There’s also a heated birdbath on the porch, so its a one-stop breakfast.
