Calico kitty

This little girl was making herself beautiful just outside my window until she looked up and saw me. (That’s her daddy sleeping soundly next to her. Mother is on the far left.)

I think this calico is the prettiest barn kitty we’ve ever had.

Another Amish horse

A two-year-old filly, Crystal, will eventually take her owner on rides to her off-the-farm job.

Amish horses have to be calm and responsive when on country roads where they will meet modern vehicles, including large farm machinery. This filly is well on her way to being a good carriage horse.

More horses

These beautiful gentle giants stand quietly, waiting to be walked into the shade where they will rest.

The hay was raked and drying in the sun as these two took their break.

Horses

My friends use these beautiful horses to work their fields and to transport the family in buggies.

These horses came close to the fence to check me out. I was happy to record them.

Raccoon

I was a surprised to see this visitor eating peanuts.

Stella was in the house, barking like crazy. I would never let her out to chase this raccoon away. Instead, I videoed from inside my house.

Peanuts were not replaced in that feeder. I set a few out in a different location. I wonder how long it will take this raccoon to learn that there are no more peanuts for it to eat here.
