Unusual treat — Wasabi Peas

When looking for a quick treat I now pop a couple of Wasabi Peas. They give me a boost and often clear my sinuses at the same time.

In this video I really eat some of these special spicy peas.

I never thought that Wasabi Peas would become a treat for me. They are definitely a change of pace.

Testing audio

I went over my laptop audio, but found no problems.

I then recorded this with and without a microphone. Can you hear any difference?

I didn’t find any difference with the microphone. Did you?

I sure don’t want to lose my listeners because of a poor recording.

Here’s my 50-word story from yesterday, in case you couldn’t hear it. Now you can read it.

Strange neighbor

By Susan Manzke

He sat in the front yard. Hat cocked over his right eye, a beer bottle in hand.

Street a few feet beyond.

Children walked on the far side, cringing.

Adults smiled but did not speak to him.

A few days after Halloween he disappeared, not to rise until next October.

Church chicken dinner

This column from 1987 is about working behind the scenes at the church chicken dinner. My job was cleaning up chicken parts.

There are no chicken dinners at my church anymore, but maybe someday there will be.

Maybe if the dinners return, I’ll take a different job, like breaking up bread for the mounds of dressing.

Until next time, that’s it from Sunnybook Farm.
