The unimaginable

Car-E likes to harass the senior cats in the house.

He started jumping on Othello, who is around 16. Car-E just wanted to play but Othello has never seen his play as fun. He often verbally chastized Car-E and moved away, only to be followed by the large kitten.

So I never thought I’d see the two of them sleeping together.

Maybe this was a one-time event. I don’t know, but I’m happy I had my phone with me so I could document this.

Othello doesn’t cuddle with Cruella either. He never has. If they get close, there are cat words exchanged. The best they have done is to sleep at opposite corners of my bed. So having Othello and Car-E sleeping this close was a notable event.

Hoping for other sightings like this one in the future, but I don’t expect much.

A great noise

I was in the living room when I heard a great noise coming from the kitchen. All I could think was that my large kitten Car-E was getting into mischief again.

Of course, I was right. Car-E had turned over the dish drying rack and trapped himself in the sink.

Could he get out? I grabbed my camera to document another Car-E adventure.

Here’s that video.

Happily he escaped and happily the rack was empty and nothing was broken.

I have to watch what I leave on the counter. As I was putting my groceries away, Car-E grabbed a package of hotdog buns. In his play, he threw the bag on the floor, giving it to Sunny, my dog. Sunny took the bait and tried to eat the buns.

I got there just in time to rescue the buns.

Car-E has tossed other things down to Sunny. I think he wants to get the dog into trouble.

I can only wonder what kind of trouble Car-E will get into next.

Car-E wrestles with a bag

My kitten went into the bag I brought books home from the library. Too bad for him he went in via one of the handles.

The handle didn’t stop or hinder his play.

Eventually I helped him out by ripping the paper handle from the bag. After I did that, Car-E continued to play with his paper toy.

Car-E says, “It’s supper time!”

Handing out supper for my house pets isn’t easy. Car-E gets especially excited.

To stop him from climbing up my leg, Car-E gets his food first.

He eats fast and if I didn’t lock him up Car-E would soon be eating any other food he could get to, even mine.

I also separate Othello and Cruella. That way I know who is eating what and how much.

Feeding time is just another adventure at my house.

More water fun with Car-E

I knew Car-E was interested in water but I never allowed him this close to the sink.

As I was getting a bucket of water for the beta fishbowl, I let Car-E have a closer look at the filtered water stream.

Of course, Car-E had to check it out. He flicked the water onto the floor, but those were only drops. He didn’t take a bath in the water … this time.

Now when I’m at the sink, Car-E comes for a look-see. Even when I’m washing dishes he wants to be involved. Once he almost did take a dip.

Upstairs Car-E emptied the cat water bowl, not drinking, just playing. He really keeps me on my toes.
