I was putting new string in the weed whacker when I dropped my winding tool.
Of course, Care-E claimed it for his toy.
For this overgrown kitten, anything and everything can become a toy

I usually have the chains from my cuckoo clock tucked up by the oven. Today, I opened the oven and Car-E noticed the chains were down.
I picked up my camera and thought I’d get a cute video. Instead, I almost lost my clock.
Luckily there was no damage.
Car-E certainly makes life interesting.

My kitten has the run of the house, but still tries to escape through an open door. It scares me when I can’t find him. I worry that Car-E will get hurt if he tries to go by the barn cats. He’s a house cat now.
I thought I’d take you for a little walk onto the back porch as I looked for him.
This time you don’t see a playing cat. Today Car-E is relaxing.
It’s hard to believe, but sometimes this kitten finds time to relax.

I never know what Car-E will play with. This time it was water.
Earlier in the day, I couldn’t figure out why there was water all over the floor. I wondered if I had bumped into Sunny’s water dish myself.
Car-E eventually showed me how he had taken the water out of the bowl.
Makes me wonder how he’d feel taking a real bath.
I don’t think I’m ready for that. Even in play, Care-E often wounds me with his teeth and nails. I do clip his nails, but just the same he has drawn blood.
For now, I’ll let him play in the water dish and just have fun.
His kitty bath will come later…much later.

I was talking to my friend Joyce over internet messenger when I realized Car-E was nowhere near.
I started calling and looking for my kitten. Did he slip out when I came back in after locking the chickens up? Did I lock him in a closet? Did he get out when I put food out for the barn cats?
I looked everywhere. If he got outside, I may never be able to catch him. He’s very fast.
Joyce was listening as I investigated closets and cabinets. She thought she heard a little meow somewhere. Joyce couldn’t help as she’s in Illinois.
I kept up my search for my missing kitten.
Finally, I found him.
When I clicked the latch of the storm door, Car-E had slipped in behind me. As I closed the inside door, Car-E was caught between the two doors–I could have hit him with the door!
He is one slippery cat, full of curiosity.
I’ve got to keep better track of my fast furry friend. He makes my dull life exciting.
