Oh no, BLOWING SNOW!

Two short videos about today in Wisconsin.

That was just thinking about going outside. The next video was taken outside after checking on the chickens and getting my mail.

The only thing in the mail was an advertiser and I dropped it. It is now flying east!

Inside again, safe and sound, drinking hot cocoa.

Until next time, that’s all there is from Sunnybook Farm.

Two directions, one morning

First to the east and sunrise.

The second video was taken to the west the same morning.

A foggy cloud hung over the land.

I thought the haze would quickly lift, but before leaving it got very thick.

For a while, I debated about driving to town.

Lucky for everyone, that thick fog soon drifted away and I could drive to Seymour and shelve books at the library.

Until next time, that’s all there is from Sunnybook Farm.

A Frigid winter day

Just poked my head out the front door to capture the cold winter wind. I popped right back inside afterward.

It’s a good day to stay inside and read a book or watch a football game on TV.

Until next time, that’s all there is from Sunnybook Farm.

A snowsuit dilemma

Snowsuits were handed down as our children grew. In this account from 1988 I tell about snowsuits that almost didn’t make it through to spring.

The expense of a new snowsuit wouldn’t have fit our budget, even if one could found for sale.

The eighties gave us many problems. Money was tight. I always say we hung onto our farm by the skin of our teeth. Sadly some of our friends lost farms.

We did our best, even patching a disintegrating snowsuit helped save money.
