Remembering our 1973 engagement

We were in Bob’s Impala that day. It was his first car. Up until he bought that car, he used the farm truck. Neither of us knew that it would turn into a special day for us. I can’t believe it is 49 years since he proposed. Listen to my account of Bob’s proposal.

August 8, 1973, was the day Bob finally asked the big question.

It’s a good memory, but a little tough, too.

I sure do miss my soulmate. Love you forever, Bob.

Picture book update

All the Queen’s Crowns is on its way to becoming an actual book.

With a September publishing date, it will be ready for Christmas gifts.

Producing a book is a lot of work, but this one is moving right along. Your support would be appreciated.

It’s in the mail

I thought I’d let you know you can get a hardcover copy of Chicken Charlie’s Year as well as a paperback and Kindle.

It makes a great gift for boys and older family members.

It is also available at libraries.

Look before you spray

Don’t be like me.

It doesn’t help to be in a hurry when finishing your hair. Take time to look at the spray bottle before you touch the nozzle.

When something like this happens, just laugh about it. I did.

A dog training solution

I’ve tried different things to keep Stella from jumping on me and digging holes in the yard. Today I took up a weapon that is helping control her extreme play.

I’m happy with her reaction to the squirt gun. When she’s doing something naughty, I just show her the gun and she stops what she’s doing. I just have to be with her all the time and have the gun handy.

Too bad I don’t have a squirt gun holster. That would help me a lot.

The sounds on the video are from Barn-E my cat. He’s on the counter, tossing things down to Stella.

Oy vey!
