Snowdrift magic

Sunnybook Farm, winter, Wisconsin

The beauty of snow takes the edge off living through a Wisconsin winter.

Looking out my back door I see contours in the snow drifts that are very creative. They were made by the wind and the blowing snow. I am appreciating them at a distance as the wind chills me. It is also safer for me inside.

I pay for this entertainment by purchasing peanuts and more for my birds.

They pay me back by coming close to my window and decorating the trees with their color and their songs

It’s worth the expense I guarantee it.

Winter returns

Sunnybook Farm, Weather

Over night the scenery changed on Sunnybook Farm.

The trees are holding onto the new snow, but not for long. The wind is starting to pick up and all the snow will soon come down.
