It’s snowing

We’re not having a blizzard, but it is snowing. So far, it’s a gentle snow. There’s no wind blowing it around. So as a snowstorm goes this is a pleasant one.

I was amazed by the amount of snow that fell today….and is still falling.

I took Sunny outside just to check out the amount together. These are two photos I manage to take before heading back inside.

Sunny’s ready to go back inside the house.

Sunny is standing on the edge of our driveway. I think we’ve gotten enough snow, but it’s still falling.

Hopefully, it will be over soon.

I shoveled a little around the door. I’m sure our neighbor will snowblow here after the snow stops. No use starting while it’s still snowing.

One day at a time

Though my husband is no longer here, I still catch myself looking over at his chair to see how he is doing.

Lucky for me, we raised a great family and I know our four and our extended family will be there for me.

Today I catch myself looking at the mailbox checking for delivery. I forget it’s a holiday, Martin Luther, King Day.

It will be another twenty-four hours before I have to walk out to our mailbox. Today, it’s only a visit to our chickens.

A lonely country mailbox

Thankfully I don’t have to shovel the snow away. So many helpful people are looking after me.

End of year hunt

Our son-in-law, Dave, and grandson, Eli (10) took this opportunity to hunt on Sunnybook Farm.

We went from foggy to snowy in two days.

And rain in between.

So good to see father and son having this special time together. They were out in all kinds of weather, bonding.

Snowstorm photos

I wandered around outside early December 1, taking in the beauty of our snowstorm. There wasn’t any wind and the temperature was about 32, so nice for winter/late fall. Here’s are some of my photos.
