Stella’s all tied up

My dog got a little tangled up…okay, I helped some.

Stella had half the old towel over her body and I flipped more over her.

Right now she’s upstairs, where she’s not supposed to be.

I guess I better get her down. …… Wait a minute! Stella just followed Barn-E the cat back downstairs. That saved me some steps.

A match between Car-E and Stella

A lot of this match took place before I could grab my phone to record it.

I never thought Car-E would play with Stella, but he has relented and taken on the puppy.

The first time Car-E met Stella he used his claws to tell her to back off. Car-E never used his claws in this playful match.

Life is better here now that Car-E accepts Stella as a roommate.

Dog vs. hastas

Stella joyfully grabbed at the hasta flower stems. As soon as they grew above the leaves, they were her newest dog toy.

Too bad, as she hopped up for the top of the stems, Stella flattened the plants.

Oh well, they will grow back. Hastas are hard to kill and Stella was having too much fun to stop her.

Short cat & dog video

Sometimes Barn-E and Stella’s playtime sounds like they are bringing down the house. This video is pretty mild compared to those wild times.

Right now the house is quiet. I sent the cats upstairs and Stella is alone. She’s tearing up brown packaging paper for fun. Better that than anything important.

Stella visits vet

Stella returned to the Pulaski Veterinary clinic for a booster shot today.

Before the vet administered the shot, he gave her a treat of soft cheese to lick off a paper plate. The idea was to distract her so she wouldn’t associate pain with going to the veterinarian.

Stella gobbled the cheese and didn’t even flinch when given the booster shot. In a month she’ll be back again for her fourth booster. By then she’ll be old enough for her rabies inoculation, too.

So far, Stella likes her trip to see her doctor.

By the way, she gained a pound since coming to live with me. Stella had to be treated for itchy skin. The pills worked. Her hair is growing back nicely.
