Dogs do the darndest things

Stella likes to dig. I’m glad she wasn’t really digging this time.

I guess she wanted to save her chew for another day. Hiding was cute this time. I sure hope she doesn’t really try to dig a hole into the couch.

We are working daily at learning how to live with each other. Some days are better than others. This time she was just cute.

For a chewing puppy

This video shows Stella chewing on a frozen washcloth.

All the other things on the floor are dog toys. Stella chews on those things, too.

Using the frozen washcloth is a simple, inexpensive way to help your puppy through teething.

Chewing on a frozen washcloth is good for a puppy. It soothes her gums.

At least when she’s chewing on the frozen washcloth, Stella’s not chewing on something that is inappropriate, like my hand.

Doggie day-care

I slipped Stella’s leash over a post so I could let the chickens out of their roost.

Stella would have me at her side constantly. I just wish I understood all her doggie-talk. Sometimes we don’t connect.

I think she wants food. She wants out. I think she wants out and she wants food. All the rest of the time she wants the house cats or these chickens.

When I am mistaken, I usually have a puddle to mop up.

Cat on the rampage

I was so frazzled that I called Barn-E the wrong name in this video. It wasn’t Car-E trying to tear apart my computer wires, it was Barn-E. It’s easy to mix up their names. They are all troublemakers.

Today all my house pets are trying to drive me crazy with Barn-E as their leader.

I can’t turn around without one or the other getting into trouble.

It’s for sure they are working together. It’s like they want me to tear my hair out.

Don’t they know I’m the one who brings them food, water, and toys?

I think not, because Stella just ran off with my kitchen towel. She expects me to chase her. I don’t think I have the strength right now.

I think I’ll take a nap, but I’ll have to keep one eye open, just in case. Who knows? They might mount an offensive.

Stella and the three hens

My puppy always is very interested in the chickens when they walk across the yard.

Most times she barks a lot at them.

Today they were closer than usual.

If Stella ever charges those birds when I am holding her, I sure hope I have a good grip on her leash. Because if she got hold of one she would think it was squeaky toys for sure.
