Picture Perfect women at work

We worked together making cards and other items for people in nursing homes, those in the military, and special needs people.

Quilts are also part of the projects these women make. I’m not as handy with a sewing machine, so I stick to paper projects. I can handle a scissors, a stapler, and a glue stick.

A potluck was held mid-day, which as always, was tasty.

I bowed out a little early as my dog Stella needed to be taken out for her mid-day walk.

Picture Perfect is held yearly, except when the pandemic interfered with the gathering. Hopefully that will never happen again.

Avoiding Mosquitoes

These flying blood suckers are driving me crazy. In this video I talk about my solution, or at least, a partial solution.

At the end of this video, you’ll hear Stella barking. I had made a sound that attracted her attention.

After she showed up barking, Stella noticed I had on my pink slicker. She insisted we go outside again.

Since I just re-sprayed the material, it worked perfectly. Mosquitoes avoided me.

Now Stella is happy and sleeping near me as I write.

Look before you spray

Don’t be like me.

It doesn’t help to be in a hurry when finishing your hair. Take time to look at the spray bottle before you touch the nozzle.

When something like this happens, just laugh about it. I did.

Tissues are a no-no

Take care of your eyeglasses and you’ll be happy with the results.

This video talks about things not to do to your glasses.

I hope this is a reminder of things you already knew.

When you follow these rules you hopefully won’t get scratches on your lenses.

Remember toilet paper is for your bum, not a cleaning cloth for your eyeglasses.

Fixing a sweater pull

When I took off a favorite sweater I found two sweater pulls. Here are two solutions for this problem.

A crochet hook works for this kind of pull, also a needle threader. My extra suggestion is a floss threader for bridges.

Hopefully, I won’t catch any threads from this sweater again, but if I do I have all kinds of solutions to bring the yarn to the back, out of sight.
