Call of the wild

The cat screech at the beginning of this video is Cruella. She doesn’t like it when Car-E even comes close to her. This time they tumbled, but all is well.

Some people have heard this screech, but not many. I’ve been trying to catch Cruella on video, but it has been difficult. After Cruella yells at Car-E she runs away.

My two house cats are very different. Car-E likes to play, Cruella doesn’t. They can both be sweet, but if Car-E is on my lap the other avoids us. If Cruella is sitting sweetly and Car-E comes by, her fur puffs up and she hisses.

I am an unwilling pawn in these confrontations. Sad for me as I love them both.

Unusual toy for Car-E

Car-E found a foam sponge in the kitchen cabinet and he went wild.

Since it was his birthday, I let him play with the white sponge.

He tore bits off and it wasn’t white long, but Car-E had a great time on his birthday.

Now I know what to give Car-E when he needs a fun treat.

Happy birthday, Car-E

Definitely a time to celebrate.

Car-E has grown a bit over this year.

Look at those baby blue eyes.

He’s quite a handfull these days. When he gets going, look out. I brace myself if I see him running toward me. I know he will leap onto my lap with all he has.

Also, when he’s running around the house, taking the stairs as fast as he can, Car-E sounds like a horse. He’s definitely not light on his feet.

I can’t imagine my life with out this cat.

Happy birthday, Car-E

A fast cat

I enjoy watching Car-E play, but he is hard to video. He’s just too fast.

Car-E is playing with a marble today. He’s here and there and everywhere chasing that glass ball.

I caught some of his play before Car-E left the room, following the marble into places unknown.

A boxed Car-E cat

I was about to break down this box when Care-E discovered it.

Cats love boxes. Once Car-E tried fitting into a much smaller box. He gave up when he figured out only part of him fit inside. Today the box was plenty big for his bulk.

Watch and enjoy.

After playing in this box, Car-E ran upstairs. It sounded like a horse tromped up and then down again.

If there’s an odd noise in the house you can bet Car-E is the cause.
