A large branch hits the ground

The cottonwood tree was brought down piece by piece.

The loud crack surprised me as I stood and watched this branch come down.

A cottonwood tree’s demise

It was time for this tree to be taken down. Too many limbs had already crashed to the ground when wicked winds blew through the area. Doing it this way means I won’t have to worry about what will happen during the next storm.

My new ‘toy’ is set up on my porch. To tempt more visits to the seed mix, I added suet.

I feed the birds and the birds entertain me.
