Sunrise before clouds return

Only early risers saw this beautiful sky.

While I walked, the clouds rolled east and covered the sun.

The day started out lovely, but too soon became gloomy again.

I continue to search for a warm spring day.

Until next time, that’s all there is from Sunnybook farm.

Feeding the blue jays

I bought this spring peanut feeder just for my blue jays. Too bad they have not taken to it, even after months of it hanging on the porch.

So I adapt and put the peanuts out where they want to eat.

Maybe they will discover the hanging spring peanut feeder eventually.

I always thought blue jays were smart birds. They have proved me wrong.

Honk, honk

I love the sound of spring. The twitters are lovely, but the honks are wonderful, too.

Geese talk all the time. They honk while flying. They honk while on the ground. I turn my head every time I hear them squawking at each other.

My feathered friends are happy when spring arrives and they return to their summer home.

Today, in the sunshine, we all celebrate

Happy early morning

Sunrise came just after six this morning.

I went out to enjoy the birth of a new day.

The sun and I will continue to get earlier and earlier until mid-June.

It’s a good time to watch and listen to the countryside wake up.

Looking for the sun

No sunrise photo this morning, only more snow.

I had hoped for a sliver of sun, but the clouds came in too early to capture the sunrise.
