A furry surprise package

This match was made in heaven, why else would I be disrupting my life again by housebreaking a puppy.

Stella seems a good fit, even though we’ve only been together one day.

My cat Barn-E loves to play with Stella. Car-E hissed at her and took a swipe at Stella’s nose. Eventually, I think they will co-exist with little problem, but for now, Stella is avoiding Car-E.

Stella’s adoption came through Saving Paws of Appleton. She needs some TLC and I think my 10 week old puppy will be a good addition to my furry family.

Pocket treasures

It’s time to wash winter coats and put them away for the season.

Before the coats go into the washer, pockets have to be searched and emptied.

A reminder of Sunny was found in all my winter coat pockets. Sunny is gone but never forgotten.

So what’s in your pocket? Dog or cat treats or cookies for your children?

If I carried cat treats, my feline pets wouldn’t leave me alone.

Don’t sit on the dog’s chair

Flinger was a large chocolate lab from my youth. He loved to pull us on sleds over snow and ice. This story is about his chair.

Make sure you choose your chair carefully. You never know if it belongs to a person or a dog.

Teddy Bear — a pet from the past.

When this rolly polly pup came into our family he had hair but it grew a lot longer.

Definitely hard to recognize Teddy after his haircut, but he knew us.
