Grabbing for the gusto

Car-E has to be watched. Today he leaped up onto the table and grabbed a piece of bread still in its baggie. It had been meant for the chickens, but for this cat it was a play thing.

I wrestled the bread away and thought rightly that it was the plastic that Car-E wanted. I tried tossing it to him, but he ignored it. I then added it to this hanging toy and he went wild.

It isn’t much but this playful cat makes me smile. I hope he added something special to your day today, too.

First Car-E knocked the cap off the counter. He was fast as I had just set it down.

He went crazy playing with it. He sped across the kitchen floor with great speed so I had a hard time capturing his silliness.

Car-E was here there and everywhere, but for a moment he paused and I was able to get this video.

When Car-E finished with his play I had to go searching for the cap. He had flipped it out of sight into a distant corner and I ended down on the floor so I could reach it.

It’s fun having a cat for company.

Car-E came by wanting to play. This one-minute video shows how my cat entertains me.

I feel sorry if you can’t have a cat as a house pet. This fellow brightens my day.

A helpful Kitty — NOT!

I never know when Car-E decides he is ready to play. This short video is my cat trying to play with a mouse, my computer mouse.

Since I’m afraid of him chewing on cords, I connected with a cordless keyboard and a cordless mouse. Now all I have to do is watch that he doesn’t go for my charging cord.

I hope you enjoy Car-E’s silliness. He makes my life interesting.

Car-E is interested in the popper

I got my West Bend Stir Crazy electric popcorn popper out and attracted my cat’s attention. (Originally purchased a few years ago at Fleet Farm, Appleton, WI.)

I think Car-E would have liked it better if the top of the popper was off. If that happened he would have loved chasing the popped kernels.

I do love this popper but I don’t eat popcorn too much. Most of this batch went as a treat to my four hens.
