I hope this short video of my cats playing brightens your day.
I have to stay near at hand just in case Car-E gets too rough with Barn-E. Playing in and out of the box helped until Car-E jumped inside with Barn-E.
I’m there to break up tough play that looks more like kill-the-kitten. But Barn-E always comes back for more.

I try to keep a camera ready to capture the cats at play. They can only be cute for so long.
The next minute, Car-E jumped out of the box and tackled little Barn-E. I had to break up the brawl.

The vet confirmed today that my kitten is a boy.
His name is Barn-E for many reasons. First, he spent much of his infancy in my barn with his mother. Second, his brother is Car-E. They have the same mother. There’s no telling who the father is.
But you can see from Car-E’s rough play why I have to keep a close eye on my large cat and my much smaller kitten.
So far, so good.
