Tempted

Last night, my cats had a riot at bedtime. Barn-E especially was bopping around my bed.

This morning, both cats were snoozing, peacefully. I was so tempted to jar them awake, but I didn’t. When awake, they would only leap back into trouble.

So I resisted and went about my business, only to have them join me in the kitchen when I wanted to cook.

“Go back to sleep!” I told them. Of course, they didn’t listen.

Such is life.

Boing!

Barn-E has been released from his nightly lockup and is free to roam the house. Last night he joined me upstairs.

It was the first time, Barn-E found the cat tree in my bedroom. Usually, Car-E was the only one sitting up there. Of course, Barn-E immediately found the boing-toy and started to play.

The noise kept me awake for a while, but eventually, he stopped and I fell asleep.

Car-E has no interest in the boinger anymore. Now, it’s all Barn-E’s. I just hope he finds a different time to play with it instead of bedtime.

Redecorating cats

I’ve used a throw on my couches to keep cat hair at a minimum, but not anymore.

Car-E never bothered the throw until Barn-E came into the picture.

Now I’ll find one or two sleeping beneath the cover.

It sure defeats the purpose of keeping hair off the couch when they are under the throw.

A tale of exasperation

My life in a 50-word story. Watch to the end to see a guest appearance.

My life with my cats is always interesting, fun, and yes, sometimes exasperating.

They give me more writing subjects, which is better than being given a dead mouse.

Cats at play

I never thought I’d see Car-E twitching his tail so Barn-E could play. Well, I did today.

Here’s their playful video.

These two brighten any winter day.
