Short video of dog and cat

My dog Stella always wants to play. Barn-E the cat doesn’t mind the dog … much, except when he wants to sleep.

Barn-E never uses his claws to deter Stella. He just waits for an opening when he can exscape.

Stella wants Barn-E to come out and play

These two do play together, but when things get too tough for the cat, he can get away by slipping behind this gate.

Stella used to be able to get through the cat door, but now she’s too big. Barn-E can escape from rough play, but often he puts up with Stella.

I keep an eye on all, just in case play gets out of hand.

Barn-E cat at play

At least, he’s not trying to climb up my leg.

Barn-E is an early cat. He usually targets my toes as toys. All I can say about that is, “Ouch!”

He has a loud purr anytime he is near.

A cat looking for trouble

Barn-E started his day by trying to open a box of books.

Afterward, he found a box filled with packing paper.

Better that he attacks the paper than going after my toes.

Cat water fountain

Barn-E and Car-E weren’t born when I first bought this water fountain. Today I brought it out of the closet to see if they would drink water from it.

As you can see in this video, the fountain didn’t scare them. In fact, they started drinking from it right away.

If you have a lot of lime in you water as I do, I recommend giving your cats filtered water for drinking. Male cats can have all kinds of medical problems if they get too much lime in their water.

Now I have to remember not to bump into this fountain. It’s bad enough when the cats get water all over the floor, I sure don’t want to add to their mess.
