Projects added up

One project led to another and then more. It was hard to stop the room update once I got started.

This 1990 column has me going full force on the living room.

I’m not so enthusiastic about fixing and painting these days. I can live with what I have, well, mostly.

But I did jump in with both feet into doing these recordings and blogging. Guess I haven’t changed that much in all these years. I just pointed myself in a different direction.

Earth Day suggestion

In today’s short video I talk about taking plastic bags and plastic wrappers and recycling them properly.

To recycle it takes a little effort, but our earth is worth it.

Do not put plastic bags in regular recycling bins. Look for bins in grocery stores for these products. In Seymour, I will take the bag I showed to Don’s Quality Market and put it in the bin in the entranceway.

Join me in recycling daily.

Will it or won’t it leak?

I loved our waterbed especially in the winter as it was heated.

Yet there was always the possibility of springing a leak, which had me a bit nervous especially when the kids were bouncing on it.

I don’t know if it was a premonition or just fear of what could happen but the idea of leaks kept me vigilant.

We kept that waterbed for many years and even got a second one. Yes, we did have a couple of issues, but I would use one again. If I did have one, I wouldn’t want to get out of its warmth on a cold winter day.

It’s not fun being a number

Every time you turn around a company is affixing a number to you. We are not people. We are numbers: phone numbers, credit card numbers, account numbers.

This reading is how I felt when treated like a number.

Things have not gotten better over the years. We continue to be numbers.

I revolt against being a number. What about you?
