A Chuck Paska story

My dad always told fun stories about his boyhood. Everyone always wanted to hear them when we had family gatherings. This is one of my many favorites.

I hope you enjoyed this retelling. If you want to read my interpretation, check out my novel, Chicken Charlie’s Year. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=chicken+charlie%27s+year&crid=2EC5EC9S7JBKT&sprefix=chicken+charlie%27s+year%2Caps%2C214&ref=nb_sb_noss

I felt like my dad was with me when I wrote this book.

A birthday tower

Sometimes it takes time to unwrap a gift.

There’s enough hard candy here to share.

I’m eating the caramel corn as I write.

I want to thank everyone for all the cards, gifts, and greetings sent my way. I appreciate every one.

Stella plays fetch

Stella learned to fetch without much encouragement from me.

She loves to play. Too bad the mosquitoes go after her, too, so we have to limit our outside time.

Homemade jam

I bought the plums at a discount rate, but the Plum Good Jam I made is first class.

Yummy jam, made with my own little hands.

Some went into the freezer to be eaten later. In winter, I’ll be able to have a taste of summer.
