A good winter’s day

Snow will be falling tonight and tomorrow. Today is a good time to get outside for a walk. I’m sure the blacktop road will be slippery after the snow.

Sunny only came for a short walk before deciding he wanted to go home. I gave in and brought him inside. Afterward, I continued on my walk alone. Tomorrow the falling snow will keep me inside safely walking on my treadmill.

A reading from Chicken Charlie’s Year

In the first chapter of this novel, we find Charlie just after Christmas 1932. His new long johns play a pivotal part in this chapter.

Charlie and his friend, Wally are heading out to go sledding.

My next reading will include their sledding adventure.

Thank you all

One of the perks of writing a column is that some of my readers write letters to me. At Christmas time they send me cards.

Here’s a video showing off my collection this year.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for your extra efforts to write me. I so appreciate every single one. Even though we may never have met, I consider each one of you my friend.

Do you want to build a snowman?

That title is my favorite Frozen song.

The snowplow came through around lunchtime.

Now for some fun.

I had some trouble picking up the middle ball of snow. I made it a bit big, but I finally got it set. Too bad everything stuck to my creation, but I’m happy with it.

My special gift

Thinking about a memorable gift of my childhood took me to a china cabinet. There sat a couple of old toys. This video is about a special doll.

This doll needs a doll hospital visit, but right now she will stay as she is. She’s lived broken for years, yet I still cherish her.

Some special toys are just memories. Some are still cherished.

I hope you have good memories of a special gift that touched your heart.

Until next time, that’s all there is from Sunnybook Farm.
