Sunrise balloon ascension

I debated about watching the hot air balloons take off this morning. I had to get moving early.

After feeding my pets, I drove to Seymour. The balloons were being taken out of their trailers and getting ready to be inflated. I watched from the balloons flat on the ground, to take off.

The evening crowds were gone. Only a few were there to witness sunrise with the balloons in Seymour, Wisconsin.

It was beautiful.

Burger Fest begins with balloons

Incoming thunderstorms kept the balloons on the ground. Even though they weren’t flying, the crowd loved to see them.

Hopefully, on Saturday evening, they will be flying over Seymour, Wisconsin.

Polkas by the New Generation

Some songs were sung in Polish. Feet were tapping and some were dancing.

It was a warm evening, yet over two hundred people came out for Polkas at the gazebo in Seymour.

More free music every Wednesday evening on Depot Street through August.

Playing Jukebox at the Seymour Community Museum

Anyone can come to the museum and play old tunes on this machine and it won’t cost even a nickel.

Young people will be amazed at this machine. Parents and grandparents can tell the youngsters how they used to play 45s like this as they sipped on malts and shakes at local malt shops.

A quick look at Sissy’s Treats and Treasures

Remember to buy local.

When you are hunting for something different, try browsing through this shop. A special gift might appear on the next shelf that will suit you.

Remember, all my books are at Sissy’s, too. Reading material is perfect for a long dark winter.

Some of the treasures are handmade, others are from the past, saved to hand down to the next generations. You have to take your time looking into every corner of this shop so you don’t miss anything.
