Missed the rain and still got wet

I was dry in the shed but I had to rescue Stella.

Rain drenched me as I ran to her. Stella was dry under the tree. I felt cheated.

The rain didn’t last long enough to help the drought. I’ll still have to water my tomatoes.

FFA petting area at the fair

You can get up close and personal in this section of the Outagamie County Fair.

It’s not just for children. Everyone will enjoy seeing and hearing the animals. The lambs were talking to me today.

Come out and enjoy all that is involved in the county fair in Seymour, Wisconsin.

Oops!

When I walked back into the kitchen, I gasped. I just missed running my dishwater over.

In the past, I have run water onto the floor. I’m happy this didn’t happen today.

If I had, I’d be washing the floor. Maybe I should do that, but not because I flooded the kitchen.

Shopping local at Wagner’s

When Highway 47 opened, I took a ride to Black Creek. My first stop was Wagners at the corner of 47 and 54.

I needed honey and also wanted some of their unusual jams. Besides Monkey Butter (Banana, Pineapple, Mango), I also have GATOR Jam (Ginger, Apple, Tangerine, Orange, Raspberry). Next to that, I saw Orange Marmalade so brought that home, too. Unopened, these jars of goodness last a long time.

It was a good outing for me and profitable for a local vendor.

My silent fireworks

Last night, they lit up my backyard in the late evening.

It warmed my heart watching them change colors.

In this video, I also show some of my other solar lights.

I’m a big fan of solar lights. Stella’s dog fence has two solar motion-detection lights that brighten the yard for us at night.
