Fixing a sweater pull

When I took off a favorite sweater I found two sweater pulls. Here are two solutions for this problem.

A crochet hook works for this kind of pull, also a needle threader. My extra suggestion is a floss threader for bridges.

Hopefully, I won’t catch any threads from this sweater again, but if I do I have all kinds of solutions to bring the yarn to the back, out of sight.

The liquid diet continues

I can do this. That’s my attitude. A liquid diet, with 2 little snacks, isn’t easy, but doable.

I’m trying not to think of regular food.

So far, so good.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day

Sorry I was talking quietly. I was in the library.

Elizabeth surprised us, even a volunteer like me, with green shakes this morning.

I believe this was my first Shamrock shake.

Thank you, Elizabeth. You made my day.

How cold is cold?

This column was written in January 1990, but it could have been written any winter day.

I thought about starting over when my cats ran through the kitchen but decided to charge ahead.

The odd sounds you hear near the mid-point are Barn-E and Car-E playing.

Sissy’s Treats and Treasures

You never know what you’ll find at Sissy’s on Main Street in Seymour, Wisconsin.

While you’re looking for treasures, have a treat.

I had coffee and an egg sandwich this morning. Everything was yummy.
