Tasting red pepper jelly

Last Thursday I bought another assortment of jellies at Wagner’s in Black Creek, Wisconsin. Even though hot peppers aren’t my usual selection, I thought I’d give this red pepper jelly a try. Here’s my first taste.

There isn’t any fruit in this jelly. The ingredients are sugar, water, jalapeno, vinegar, pectin, red and yellow food color, and citric acid.

The first thing I tasted was the sweetness and second came the red pepper. It tasted good, but was a bit more pepper than I’m used to. I’m sure anyone who likes jalapeno peppers would love this on their toast.

Until next time, that’s all there is from Sunnybook Farm.
