Stella is always near me.
Sometimes she is too close. She does this so she can keep an eye on me in case I’m going to do something very interesting or do anything that involves food. She does this by going to sleep with her head and sometimes her foot on my shoe. Then she knows when I move.

Spring must be close at hand. Wild animals seem to know it. Birds are returning to the area and skunks are coming out of their winter retreats, ready to find a mate.
I hope I don’t come across the path of a skunk any time. That is my hope for Stella too. When we go outside we will make lots of noise so every wild animal knows that we’re about and that they should vacate the yard.

Barn-E He could have used his claws on the dog, but he didn’t. I’m the one who worries that someone may get hurt when they are wrestling like this. They think it is fun.

If you knock at my door or ring the bell Stella will be ready to greet you.
She’s a great alarm except when she hears a large vehicle passing by. She often barks at its rumbling noise.
Stella is interested in many things. She can be beautifully quiet too as she is now sleeping at my feet.
