Visiting feathered friends

Official spring isn’t here, but these spring visitors think it is.

Blue jays come to my feeders, grab a peanut, and fly away.

My cats often sit, looking out the window, yearning to catch a bird. They often bump their noses on the window.

The blue jays fluttered to the feeder on my front porch and then back to the tree branches.

A cardinal stopped by, too, but I didn’t get it on this video. I’ll try again another day.

This is one of the last videos taken at this feeder before I had to take it down. A raccoon almost destroyed it when it went to eat the bird’s food.

I have to find a place a raccoon can’t reach or climb up to. That’s going to take time to figure out.

The blue jays had to work to get a peanut out of the wire feeder. It took them a day to figure out how to get to their favorite food.

They loved the shelled peanuts I’ve given them. Now they have work to get the peanuts out of shells.
