A furry surprise package

This match was made in heaven, why else would I be disrupting my life again by housebreaking a puppy.

Stella seems a good fit, even though we’ve only been together one day.

My cat Barn-E loves to play with Stella. Car-E hissed at her and took a swipe at Stella’s nose. Eventually, I think they will co-exist with little problem, but for now, Stella is avoiding Car-E.

Stella’s adoption came through Saving Paws of Appleton. She needs some TLC and I think my 10 week old puppy will be a good addition to my furry family.

A cute kid quote

This is a Robby account from the 1970s.

Rob was always thinking about the world around him and telling me all about it.

Mothers Day

I was lucky to have company today. Three-quarters of my family drove to the farm. The other quarter had flu, and rightfully stayed home. Gifts today were blooming and will continue for months to come.

I do love the gifts, but I love the hugs even more.

Also, some yard work took place as children and grandchildren picked up sticks and pine cones.

I am blessed.

Happy Easter

This short video shows two handmade gifts from my mother.

I can’t seem to throw these keepsakes away. My mom was a hoarder, too, so I come by it honestly.

Mom wasn’t much of an artist, but she had fun painting with her friend Joan.

Mom’s 99th birthday will be April 19th. Happy heavenly birthday, Mom. You were the best.

Love, Susan

A little spring cleaning

This spring cleaning job took place in 1990. I wrote about these happenings in my April column that year.

My spring cleaning isn’t so adventurous any longer. I’m lucky if I wash a few windows.

When the weather is warmer, I intend to spend my time outside, enjoying the sunshine.

Until next time, that’s all there is from Sunnybook Farm.
