Car-E’s annual checkup

At first, I thought we’d miss my cat’s physical appointment. I couldn’t find Car-E, but after searching the house, I located him in a closet. He must have slipped in when I was hanging laundry.

It wasn’t too hard getting Car-E into his pet carrier, but he sure didn’t want to come out. At the vet’s office, he puffed himself up and sent a ball of his hair flying loose.

This was just the first handful of fur that came off of Car-E. In the end, there was five times this amount..

The checkup didn’t take long.

Two inoculations brought Car-E up to date and set for the next three years. They gave me a rabies tag for him. That will go in the drawer as Car-E refuses to wear a collar.

No problems were reported by Dr. Jamie. There was one thing noted. Car-E weighed 15 lbs, 9 oz. and that made him a bit heavy. I guess he takes after me.

Car-E cried when back in the carrier but was extremely happy when I let him free at home. My good kitty then went upstairs and hid under my bed. He stayed there for the next couple hours and only came out until it was time for supper.

Who is hiding?

Take care and watch where you sit.

You never know what will be popping out from under a sheet. That bump is not a pillow. It’s moving!

Car-E needed a little encouragement to leave his hiding place.

My cat’s adventures take him to many places. Sometimes he comes out of nowhere to attack my bare feet.

Warning! If Car-E likes you, he may show it by biting.

Car-E shows up for video

It’s a nothing-special kind of morning.

Raining outside so staying inside with Car-E.

Sometimes he wants to escape the house. Since my house is so close to the road, I don’t want him to do that. A flat cat is not a good pet.

When things are quiet, maybe too quiet, I wonder what Car-E is up to. Today he can go on the enclosed back porch. There he has a good view of the outside world. I just hope that is enough of nature for him. Keeping him safe is a main objective of mine.

The cat did it

Who opened the kitchen cabinet door?

This is not a big mystery.

Car-E always wants to know what is on the other side of a door.

Because of his curiosity, Car-E has gotten locked in closets and other rooms.

This time he couldn’t fit into the full cabinet.

Next time, who knows.

Car-E investigates

Another short video of Car-E checking out a box.

There wasn’t anything interesting in the box except a little packing wrap, but Car-E had to find out for himself.
